"House" Patriotism

Over the 4th of July, Provo's Center Street becomes a sea of flags, flag bunting and patriotism, all for the Freedom Festival, which sends an enormous parade up and down it. This year's festival was no exception. One of the best parts of this Festival is the Historic Home Tour, which allows a free look at the inside of Provo's Historic Homes. This year, the tour featured homes throughout the Joaquin and Maeser neighborhoods. One of them was the above bungalow.

Another eye-popping example of fervor was the Paul and Leeza Ridd home on East Center. (Top picture) Recently repainted, it annually hosts an enormous neighborhood breakfast on the fourth, and this year was the center of a special celebration zone called "Colonial Days."
