Some final shots of the basement

After the rush to complete the project in our basement apartment, I realized that I hadn't taken any pictures of the "after." Yesterday an opportunity came, and though it shows that it is indeed an actively used space, you can see what we were able to accomplish in terms of the kitchen. The cabinets are maple, unstained, the countertop is solid surface, and the floors are just vinyl. We did buy a new electric stainless steel stove for the unit. I tried to pick cabinetry that wouldn't be "out" in just a few years.

Summer came....

Here are a few shots of summer's glory. Two of these are phlox, a violet, and a pink color. The other is echineacea (hope my spelling is right).

I've been doing too much traveling, so I haven't done much on my bungalow besides mow the lawn and weed the flower beds.
